Model Airplanes of the Past

We've loved airplanes all our life. Even at a young age, we liked to play with our model airplanes. Before the age of plastic, many were metal, or rubber, such as those shown below.

We also assembled dozens of plastic models, most of them from Revell kits we purchased at local hobby shops and toy stores.

We built the B-36, F-100, B-29, the Snark SM-62, the Gemini spacecraft, the USS New Jersey, and lots of others ... after a few years on display, they ended up in boxes in the attic ... and sadly have now disappeared, except in memory!
